News gets worse. NK reopening nuke plants. Yemen gets scuds. Some talk of Iraqi nerve gas going to al quaida. I wonder if Saddam pulled the ultimate trick and squirrelled away the WMD's outside iraq? Bin Laden, please store 90% fo me and keep the rest. Same for Yemen, Somalia and other countries. After all he is the guy who sent his air force to Iran in 1991. Any thoughts on this or other things you think may be going on behind the scenes.
We have 7X24 arguing going on here and everywhere and we probably are in the dark regarding many of the facts. It really is hard to have a coherent strategy without all necessary info. The crux of the matter it seems to me is that if you have confidence in your leadership you will support policy. Thats why the 60+-40- split over bush. Problem is country is divided 50/50 re: parties so Bush approval numbers can be soft if there are setbacks and there will be. I wish us all luck. I live my life as if i will be around. In order to really believe that, I have to have faith that God is on our side(a hell of a thing for an agnostic to be asking for), that our leadership is competent, and the american people remain strong in the face of evil--yes evil(sorry zonder). Its a generational test as in WW2. All day meetings coming up for me. Trying to get my company into the black after the burst bubble/9/11 recession. I will be back briefly at noon and then either tonight or tomorrow.
I am an emotional guy. I suspect guys like you and Fred who seem to be true intellectuals and not propagandists(perhaps i am one) need to get the others in line. I was never a bush fan but just as i was transformed by 9/11 i believe he was. Look at how he is aging. Much like Lincoln, FDR, LBJ he reallizes the grave responsibility he has and it shows on his face. How humbling it must be for a mere mortal to face what he faces. I hope it turns out for bush like Lincoln and FDR not LBJ. Leftists, i am not comparing presidencies here, just PRESSURE. Mike
