Nadine asked an important question and you blew it off. Nadine knows exactly what I was talking about, as she said right afterwards, and I was not about to waste an hour going into hows and whys that all here are familiar with. As one who does not understand the following statement, I'm hoping you can clarify it for me because honestly, I didn't realize that Americans were/are "hurting Muslims around the world." When I said that, I was talking about differences in perception that are quite impossible to understand for someone who does not speak a language or understand where they are coming from. This is not a difference in tradition or way of thinking that I can help you with, in other words - Look into Israeli/Palestinian conflict, America's unconditional financial aid to Israel, the decade-long Iraqi sanctions enforced by Americans, etc. (Please don't argue about how and why America is not to blame. At the end of the day, the people who lose a loved-one because of an Israeli bullet or lack of antibiotics due to the sanctions turn not to their own people, but to "the other" to blame) So, in their eyes, David finally threw a stone at Goliath. it is not that incomprehensible, really. I didn't realize that Americans were/are "hurting Muslims around the world." Of course you did not. Still, this is what they have been thinking for a while now. You must have noticed that there was some sort of a resentment going on?
