Ed,

ATP is a small micro company with fairly high leverage. Historically they have been very good at going behind the majors in the Gulf of Mexico and developing the tail end reserves the majors didn't want.

Once other players realized how well ATP was doing, many others jumped on the band wagon and made it a lot more difficult for them to execute there game plan in the Gulf.

ATP has now taken the same game plan over to the UK.

They have good management, but the high leverage and the shift in the game plan is cause for concern.

It's a high risk with higher than average potential for both rewards and failure.

It's not easy for a company the size of ATP to grow reserves and cash flow once the leverage gets as high as it is.

They may do very well, but from my 25 years of experience the odds are against them.

Not sure where some of these analysts have been. Must be suffering from skyscrapper ventilation mold, or "strobe light" effect from late night partying. But finally, here come the upgrades:
