How do you defend a city from a nuke, pray tell???

"Defended" refers to a defense from a military attack. Not a single nuke that reduces to cinders every little kid and his dog in a whole city in seconds.

The US is (and was) aware of the unacceptability of intentionally killing two cityful of civilians. It is, and was, a war crime.

I am sorry but there is no argument against this. You cannot twist your way out of the fact that bombing two cities full of civilians is a war crime.
