As usual, the story does not support TPs characterization of it. It happens to be the case that Chief Justice Rehnquist's daughter is involved. She is the Inspector General of HHS. Some Senators requested a GAO review of the impact of some senior staff changes. Her appointment was never controversial.....

More lies from Toilet Paper.

What a buffoon you are....

If you had any pride at all you'd be ashamed to post on this or any other thread on SI.

Here is an excerpt from Ms. Rehnquist's background.

"Prior to joining HHS, Ms. Rehnquist served for several years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, where she focused on health care fraud enforcement. As an Assistant United States Attorney, she represented Federal agencies in the Federal courts and worked on a variety of matters, including those involving the False Claims Act and other health care enforcement statutes.

Ms. Rehnquist's prior legal experience includes serving at the White House as Associate Counsel to the President under President George H.W. Bush. She also served as Counsel to the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigation for the United States Senate. In that role, her major responsibilities included coordinating Medicare fraud and abuse investigations, which resulted in public hearings. Ms. Rehnquist began her legal career as a Litigation Associate with the firm of Baker & Hostetler in Washington, D.C."

I have highlighted the published information that supports her qualification for her position. If it is fairly stated, she has the name, the political contacts, and the experience to fairly qualify her for nomination and confirmation.

It does not appear fruitful to bark up this tree.
