Bill: It is a free country. If you want to think our policies in the mid east are not based on our desire to control the supply of oil there, that is your perogative.

"Do we control Kuwait's oil?" Bush Sr. did not let Saddam gain control Kuwait's oil. We control Kuwaiti oil to a far greater extent than would have been the case if Saddam was allowed to keep Kuwait. There are a few differences between the situation in Kuwait ten years ago and Iraq today - we did not invade Kuwait, kill their leaders and establish our own government there (although that last point might be contested).
