Al, why I am fairly confident that the price may hold is because the lease rates haven't risen throughout the whole $10 price rise.

In the past, whenever POG hit $323, or thereabouts, the lease rates would shoot up as, presumably, the short-sellers leased the gold prior to selling it. In fact, I understand (I must have read it somewhere) that it isn't easy to borrow, or even buy, a substantial amount of gold at the moment.

Another thing. We always heard that if POG got above $330 the big "shorts" would be seriously squeezed. In fact, J.P. Morgan ws going to be in big trouble. I don't know if that story is true, or not, but these could be very interesting times with POG over $330. As you know there are some estimates of a short position of 5-10,000 tonnes, or even more.
