I understand your point about Viet Nam vets. Mine was that one can get PTSD from any number of situations, even a violent hold-up in a jewelry store. You described some of the symptoms well.

And no matter how the trauma comes about, it's still not an excuse for violent behavior. That was my point.

I knew Tim and liked him, but I feel very badly for his victim, as it seems you do too.

You're new to SI, I see.
