George W. Bush was shocked, shocked at Mr. Lott's record. Please. Anybody who follows politics knows about Senator Lott. Is anyone on this board surprised about what they are saying about Lott. Haven't you known this already? When they are ready to dump you, you get dumped. I hope George W. doesn't find out Andy Card has a big mouth and Cheney had some funny deals on Halliburton. I believe Lott made mistake, is not a racist, and would not go back forty years to judge the man but on his current record... Now put that aside. I do not like the man.... I think he should be replaced and is hurting the republican party.. I believe this whole thing has gotten legs do to Gore, Kerry etc jumping on anything that will give them a leg up.. He is a leader and with it comes responsibility to be careful in chosing your words, knowing every paper , reporter, cable news are watching and looking for a trip up... He really tripped up . imo... He should step down.. He has hurt everything Bush Administration has tried to build in the last year! Then again I thought he should have step down awhile ago.. really like the senator from Ok. seems to handle himself fairly well during interviews.
