<<sometimes we miss moves. It's part of the survival game.>> I don't regard this as a missed move. If gold is going to move significantly, this is just the beginning. My general philosphy is that I don't like money tied up in assets which are not appreciating, when there are other opportunities. So other than my core gold positions and a few small positions that I added a few days before the breakout because charts on individual stocks were looking so good, I was out of golds. BUT I was making money during the time that many were holding non appreciating gold assets, by buying puts a while back and then making a little on the long side by buying calls during the recent up move and going back to puts. The net result is that my money was working and now I am able to positions in gold. The disadvantage of my style is that I never get the jr. gold stocks early on and thus the huge percentage gains, but the advantage is I am not waiting months and sometimes years for a profit on my investment. At any rate I am in a good financial position to take advantage of this move. I am now looking for call opportunities on AU, GLG, AEM, GG and a few others as the move matures, I will be looking at the jrs. In the meantime my core position which holds CBD, Chesapeake, and a gold mutual fund is doing ok. So on balance I think I will have plenty of participation in the gold move. Little joe
