The psychological state is interesting. As consumers, we keep on spending, borrowing. Uncle Al keeps on printing money. Bush keeps on appointing strange old fellows to the TS and other economic posts. How about someone vibrant? Aren't there any of those? Why do we have to fish out old fogeys from Ford administration or his father's administration? The only significant person not from these areas is Condoleeza Rice. She seems a smart cookie. However, I am not really sure how smart. At this point, I am disappointed with our war effort, but still it has gone better than most other alternatives! Strange world we live in. Down first and then a moonshot! Just IMHO.
