Hi EVA, Most of my family still lives there. I'll be home next weekend for the annual kid's Christmas party. Seems to me though that the downtown strip has deteriorated along St. Catherine. Lots of strip clubs and looking pretty seedy. OTOH these tired old eyes don't see things the same anymore I know. I'm just really happy I grossly overdid it in my youth LOL... And yes I do remember going downtown, or rue St-Denis or Vieux Montréal.... growing up in the Duddy Kravitz neighbourhood and then the North Shore with great fondness... I couldn't imagine growing up anywhere else.... regards Kastel ex Montréalais
