>>If you could stand Nadine's posts of Imshin the friendly neighbourhood blogger for so long without once objecting that this is some guy who is obviously biased for one side, I don't see why you cannot stand the account of this guy whose cousins just died.<<

I didn't object to the story by the guy whose cousins were killed. It just strikes me as weird that he'd bemoan the innocence of guys who were killed while pointing guns at IDF tanks.

Anybody who points a gun at an IDF tank during a raid should expect to get blown to kingdom come.

The news reports says the people who were shooting at the tanks were militants. That makes more sense than that they were police officers.

Filter though the emotional wording, there seems to be little disagreement about this incident. The Israelis raided in force, the mosques called for defenders, guys with guns came running, a gunbattle ensued, a number of people got shot, most combatants but some civilians.

Nothing in either sides' story disputes the basic events.

BTW, in a normal war zone, where both sides fight at full capacity, riflemen try hard to avoid being seen by tanks. The fact that Palestinian riflemen regularly shoot openly at Israeli tanks says something either about their willingness to take casualties, or their expectations of the likelihood of Israeli not shooting back.
