I agree it can't be had both ways, but don't look at me, I think the DOW will suffer as gold rises, I think I'm the only one short on this thread...BWDIK

Nearterm, I'd expect to see the XAU blocked at 81, followed by a three week pullback on a market rally. Then it'll seek and surpass its 52 wk high.

That seems to be the tale of the tickertape on my charts. If the XAU dips to 75 tomorrow, that's where I plan to go long on gold for 2-3 days in pursuit of that nearterm cap.

I could be wrong; my timing has been off by a day or two near transition points over the past 6 months.
