Thanks, ShilohCat, kind words indeed. One little Web site I've found has a 'political test' people can take online to decide how they rank on the 'economic liberal - economic conservative' scale and on the 'authoritarian - libertarian' scale. I'm sure there are still many more ways to slice 'n dice political and economic views, labels always make me nervous ... but this one test can be fun, and helps to show that 'liberal-conservative' just doesn't tell enough: politicalcompass.org Funny thing is, a majority of the American public would probably call themselves "fiscal conservatives, social liberals"... but we don't really have a label to describe that.
