I'm getting 20% moves on the upside now since sept timeframe. We haven't had that in 3 years... it was easy to get 20% on the downside last year and early this year but you never saw 20% upside days in individual issues with mkt cap over 1billion... just yesterday I had 20% upside in ciena, which is a fairly high valuation stock... there is money being deployed long here, it is coming from somewhere. the cool thing about this mkt is there are whole groups who trend up and others (imo semi equips) who look like they will be declining. It used to be going up everybody went up and going down everybody went down (barring the occasional bad company) but now you can play both ways. The one thing I don't like about individual issues here is that some of my picks like vtss have been beaten down so low that they are not marginable anymore.
