Do you know what a needles eye in Jerusalem may have looked like?

In The New Creation, pp. 574, 575, the following explanation is given: "The large cities of the East in olden times had great gates which were closed at sundown, and not permitted to be opened until morning, lest an enemy should take advantage and make an attack. But they had small gates which were guarded, and through which a man might enter and might even bring in his camel, by taking off the load and permitting the animal to crawl in on its knees. These small gates were called needles' eyes. Thus a rich man may gain access to the Kingdom, but not encumbered with earthly riches or treasures. These must be laid off."

not saying Jesus entirely meant this but it is a good possibility, PLUS look at the rest of the scripture. After Jesus said that:

When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?" Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Moral: DEPEND ON GOD...NOT MAN OR RICHES.

The Bible is a book.

Yeah, but you gotta be alive to read it with real understanding, a thing that just does not apply to heathens.

"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned..."(2 Cor. 2:14)

Actually this is a representative democracy and we've chosen representatives who raise taxes in various ways. It's not stealing, it's governance. And we, collectively, voted for it.

We ain't voted for dang inflation. Those fokes is just stealing. And we ain't voted for dang pork for fokes who ain' done a dang thang to deserve it. Just because we voted for fokes who be spending money that ain' theirs, don't be making what they do right.

Why is it we need men to tell us what the word of God means? How's that different than following the word of man?

We really don't be needing men at all to know what the word essentially means if we are alive. God gives certain men gifts to explore and share deeper meaning, this, to build up the church and give life to dead fokes. But even here all these men are doing is basically getting our heads into the word of God so that it can do its thing.

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

True?

Yup.

For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

False?

Nope.
