Wel this is correct, Neo on the Matt. 19 verses. The young man actually did not ask for perfection, but instead for what he must do to acquire eternal life. Christ then told him, essentially, that he must be perfect and that to acquire perfection he had to keep the whole law, including selling everything he owned. The point was that it is impossible for anyone (vs 25) to be saved. But with God, all things are possible. (vs 26)
