Hehe. I heah ya on the chitlins. I once saw them being cleaned and when they were being cooked I had a hard time with it. I'm a nawthna, but I get down south a bit each year (I'm actually south now). Once I was in Woodbridge, Virginia at a soul food restaurant that sold chitlins. I decided to try 'em and so getting up the courage I walked in and asked the lady there if the chitlins were good today, just as if I had been eatin' chitlins all my life.

I could tell it took her by surprise. But after about five seconds she quickly recovered and said they were real good. So I ordered some.

Then I confided in her that I had never had them and that I needed some help. (grin) She laughed and asked if I liked hot sauce. I told her I loved it. So she put a little on them.

I ain' had chitlins since. But dem thangs was good! I'm tawkin' some serious good. Can't exactly remember what else I had - peach cobbler and stuff like that, maybe some sweet tea. But dem chitlins was gooood.
