The pre-Civil War slaveholders had far more respect for black Americans than any white American liberal you can name today. I'm not sure why you call me a "liberal", except that my opinion of the Bush administration is that it's a joke. Imagine the excuses Lott would be making if he made your statement above... What do you think he would say? Do you think he'd have to resign? Your brand of hate-politics causes both conservatives and liberals to look the other way in embarassment.
