Every convertible during a primary down market is a solid money maker. Even in an up-market you make cash. Win-win.

This is why the big boys have the convertible market cornered. You couldn't get it on one even if you wanted to as a retail investor.

the chances of you getting in on a convertible offering are about as likely as you getting daily short position info from the big boys. not gonna happen.

the only reason convertibles exist is because companies are desperate for cash and have no other choice.
