? What makes you think we are headed further down?

take dell - best performing high profile tech stock, which had rallied off the july bottom, to a new two year high on an abandoned baby hanging man on huge volume (on their earnings news) and has rolled over.

2003 doesn't look so bad to me at this point<<<
the bull market was relentless to the upside 18 years in a row without a yearly correction, who's to say that the bear won't be just as relentless.

and the break of support is valid on the spx in july and this sideways consolidation is a bear flag, making two contacts with former support, now turned resistance.

Tom: World economy, Dollar index, Geopolitics associated with the Middleeast/Islamic countries , a big Budget deficit and a 13 time rate cut by the Fed which has failed to ratchet growth so far.
