Deterrance doesn't work unless you're willing to do the dirty Of course. This is why, in my humble opinion, the US threats of a nuclear attack are not deterring anybody. Everything I know of Americans as a culture and as individuals suggest that you people would not stand for it, and would not stomach it - except for a few abominations who could watch their government cause civilian deaths in massive numbers with no problems as long as they are not Americans, that is... A fact that fails to register with many. Right. If someone reaches a different conclusion than yourself, it must mean they do not understand something. Also, you do realize that all nuclear weapons aren't city engulfing Boomers, right? Oh do tell. Is there a new kind of nuke that does NOT work on the basis of a fission chain reaction and so can be pinpointed with accuracy, AND does not have a nuclear fallout?
