we've had anywhere from 30% to 50% discounts
on everything imaginable in vancouver since
the beginning of the month. and the shopping
malls are packed. sales are brisk but it seems
that the retailers had to work hard at luring
the shoppers in.

Energyplay, my wife is apparently having a wonderful time scavenging through "private sales" where the rich and famous aggregate their used but fine goodies in various hotels' function rooms and attempt to unload them at any price.

My wife modelled for me some items of clothing that were USD 3-10k, which she bought for USD 125 maximum. I have instructed her to concentrate on jewelry from this moment forward;0)

Perhaps, in my optimistic view, the rich ladies are selling their old stuff because they are preparing to load up with new gumph at the first inkling of economic recovery, around and around that corner in the darkened basement;0)

Chugs, Jay
