I remember reading about a 56 year cycle vis-a-vis Kondratieff which many thought would be repeated on the crash side in the mid-to-late 1980's. So it's bean stretched out 15 years.

That's if you are looking at a very long term regression which, IMO, is not an unreasonable thing to do now.
