Interesting numbers here (I have a small RRI long position): Something to chew on by: stockripper2001 12/14/02 11:12 am Msg: 15966 of 15980 I invest through schwab and have there platinum signature services for a research tool. I printed out on 10/19/02 research reports for various IPP's. One in particular was the Provestor Plus ( a Multex.com report). While reviewing and comparing data today, I came across something interesting. I compared the institutional ownership from 10/19 to todays current report. This is what I found: CPN: 961 Institutions on 10/19 owned 267.293 (70.9%) of 377 mil. shares outstanding. As of today 891 institutions own 249.48 (66%) of 378 mil. shares outstanding. (- 17.8 mil) RRI: 219 Institutions on 10/19 owned 57.71 (19.9%) of 290 mil shares outstanding. As of today 232 institutions own 67.92 mil (23.42%) of 290 mil shares outstanding. (+ 10.21 mil) AES: 876 Institutions on 10/19 owned 368.15 (67.8%) of 543 mil shares outstanding. As of today 835 institutions own 367.74 (67.6%) of 544 mil shares outstanding. (- .41 mil) Mir: 855 Institutions on 10/19 owned 196.176 (48.8%) of 402 mil shares outstanding. As of today 799 institutions own 190.22 (47.2%) of 403 mil shares outstanding. (- 5.96 mil) ILA: 464 Institutions on 10/19 owned 102.96 (57.2%) of 180 mil shares outstanding. As of today 401 institutions own 77.90 (42.8%) of the 182 mil shares outstanding. (- 25 mil)
