AUSTIN, Texas, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Corporate data provider Hoover's Inc. (nasdaq: HOOV - news - people) said on Friday its board will consider a buyout offer from two private investment firms that values the company at $8 per share and top a $7 per share offer from D&B (nyse: HOOV - news - people) it had already agreed to accept.

Hoover's said it received the cash offer, which values the company at $129.6 million, from Austin Ventures and Marathon Partners L.P.

On December 5, Hoover's said it agreed to be bought by financial information publisher D&B for $7 per share.

Hoover's said its board of directors will consider the bid "in accordance with the terms of the merger agreement between Hoover's and D&B."
