PT, the current Administration doesn't govern by Polls....whereas the previous one seemed to....

If you really believe that,
I now understand.

KLP, I believe I described the poll as a Netscape.com poll, not an in-house presidential poll. No doubt about it, Clinton followed polling; and, I strongly suspect, it's very likely Bush does as well. How do you think he knew the Iraqi war issue was a winner for the past electon cycle?

Regarding intelligence, seems to me that the Clinton Administration used its intelligence for positive results with North Korea. Has the current administration done this?

Regarding the U.S. position relative to the world conference on racism, I think had America been a true world leader on this issue our nation wouldn't be drawing the kind of hatred which it does from the Muslim world.

America is the great country it today is for two reasons: a) it's population is comprised of people of all kind living under constitutional freedom, and this is special; and, b) because America utilizes an imbalanced portion of the world's resources, especially energy, thereby making society here more attractive to those in other parts of the world who have less.

Thus, two viewpoints, one from inside America; the other from outside of America. Here's some statistics to accompany how those viewpoints formulate:

Regarding your last questions:

>>>Just when do you think the murdering terrorists planned their attack?<<<

Well, right now we're planning on war with Iraq? Will it actually happen? Could something happen that could cause this war not to happen? I have no proof, but I do think it prudent to consider the U.S. attitude toward the conference against world racism could have served as a tinderbox type event which could have inspired the pulled trigger leading to the 9/11 tragedy; just as something Saddam could do that could pull the trigger for a pre-planned war in Iraq.

>>>How long were they in this country?<<<

U.S. intelligence should have noted their presence. In fact, in some instances, according to now public FBI reports and testimony, some of the 9/11 terrorists were identified.

>>>How did they get here, and why weren't they deported?

You'd have to ask those who assumed powerful administrative roles from within the Bush Administration and to whom and how those individuals delegated authortiy.

>>>Whose watch was it in Washington?<<<

The chain of command ultimately points to George H.W. Bush.

Oh, I think it's transparent they are worse than the Clinton folk. No one has yet to write a counter article to the Suskind article that appeared in Esquire. He argued, on the basis of a variety of sources, that the only domestic policy the Bush folk discussed were those in which politics drove the issue. There were not even meetings to discuss the policy consequences; only the political ones.

A very, very hard indictment.
