I think the region needs to be de-stablilized, such that if we can get democracy in Iraq, perhaps, like dominoes, the others (hopefully saudi arabia, etc) will follow. As far as nuclear capability, well, if you can see this point, then why wouldn't you be in agreement that invasion is necessary, and as such, why should we give a flying fig about what France or others might think?

I was reading a periodical today which spoke about the situation when Israel was created in 1948. I'm sure you know there was an Israeli-Arab war in '48 which, did not, but could have led to the immediate destruction of the State of Israel. The article continued to assert that had this occurred, there was no way a "palestinian" state would have been created, rather, the territory would have been carved up by Jordan, Egypt, etc.
