Abby, Dow will DROP 2300 pts in 2003 from US$ decline

these guys totally ignore the relevant dynamics of change
falling dollar means not only aggregate arrest of deflationary forces (to some extent), but release of inflationary forces in certain sectors where it has already begun to show

falling dollar erodes asset values for foreign holders of stocks and bonds
they will sell more, just like spring and early summer
decisions on assets are made based upon recent movement, which is discerned as a trend, and thus expected to continue
if foreigners see the dollar as continuing further down, they sell American assets

falling dollar means supply costs rise and profit margins worsen
supplies in the form of raw materials have risen
supplies in the form of imported components will soon rise again
our Asian friends will have to allow prices to rise in dollar terms, or else eat the entire change in their profit margins
there is no other way out
so corporate earnings falter more
they are already pinched from zippo pricing power

falling dollar means slightly higher interest rates will very likely be necessary to stem the currency bleeding and maintain an equilibrium balance
if the prevailing longterm and shorterm interest rates remain unchanged, then dollar selling continues
this is the horrendous risk by Feds who are hellbent on controlling everything but their own discipline
higher rates will hurt corporate earnings even more

so stocks drop, rates rise, prices increase from imported inflation

hey AbbyJo, try learning some effing economics, fool whore!!!
this stuff is not all that complicated, when you remove the red dress that hikes 16 inches above the knee
bright red skirts and cranial activity dont go hand in hand

these guys ignore the dynamics unleashed right before their covered eyes only 4-8 months ago

they learn nothing
since they are so entrenched in acting like whores and ignoramuses
I hope in time that the brokerage and investment banking industry shrinks to 1/4-th of its current size
just large enough to handle the flood of precious metals miners seeking stock issuance financing

30% layoffs in investment banking so far
gonna be fun watching continuation of pink slips to whores
a whore is as a whore does -- sell lies, compromise truth, watch the essence of integrity drain out

Hartman Friday mktwrap on the Puplava website
financialsense.com

a summary excerpt:
The government interventions have only worked to slow down the correction process. Once the war starts, we should see the current trends dig-in even deeper. Once the war starts, the Powers-That-Be will have a scapegoat to explain why gold is over $400 per ounce, the dollar has lost 20-30% of its purchasing power, the Dow Industrial Average is below 6000. The trends that are now in place should accelerate as we move into the new year. Hopefully, your investments are positioned to take advantage of the current trends, and not just “hoping” for a rebound of the glory stocks from the last bull market.

For now, I suspect the Feds will try to keep the markets as close to status-quo as possible, especially the dollar. Once the war starts, the dollar will be attacked which will put even more pressure on stocks, corporate debt, and US Treasury paper.

gonna get really ugly soon
the dollar is the financial bathtub drain plug
