i was just hoping the thread wouldn't be subjected to becoming a breeding ground for people touting specific stocks apart from it's usage as a trading vehicle. This could be easily handled by saying in the header that the thread is only intended for trading pics, not discussions about fundamental valuations or other things that might be of concern to a long term investor. I'm fairly respectful of keeping OT items off threads with specific topics. I was told long time back that that this thread (or maybe the one before it) didn't have anything that was OT, so I thought it was reasonable to get into a discussion about a specific stock, especially since it was already being discussed here. Actually I'm less interested in discussing specific stocks then I'm interested in discussing how one would value a stock with those growth characteristics and whether or not we're in an environment where one can expect a return from growth stocks in general. I know I'm not in the majority here, but I don't think it's important to have someone disclose their position. Someone could own the stock or not own the stock, it doesn't change whether what they say is correct. Does their analysis hold up or not, this is what is really important. I think there is too much focus on whether or not someone holds a position. What I want to know is, can they actually give me information that I can use about the company, do they have a different way of looking at it then I do, do they see something I didn't see? This is why people engage in discussions about companies. Someone should be able to make a case pro and con. Want to hear the case for selling WEBX? I can assure you I can make a strong case to sell it as well.
