A19,

I'm once again toying with upgrading my golf clubs.

Just wanted your opinion.

I'm a hack who occasionally breaks 100 and dips into the
low 90s.

The clubs I use now are basic beginner clubs (Wilson Pro
Staff oversized with graphite shafts).

I think I'd like to get a set of Titleist or Taylor Made.
I think I'd prefer to get a set that is not oversized.
The thought is that by using a smaller headed club it will
help me to really learn how to hit a golfball. You get
instant feed back when you swing poorly.

I imagine it leads to frustrating outings on the course but
figure that is where I'm at now anyway.

If I buy something oversized and it gets me by, eventually
I'll have to upgrade again to get myelf to break the 80's
or what ever.

Does this make sense to you or am I being silly?

I like the Titleist DCI 962 or 822 or the Taylor Made 320
or something equivalent. Probably bought used.

Should I instead buy an older set at a lower price and grow
into something more expensive? Or learn the right way
with the right clubs from the beginning?

Or if I'm going to spend some dough should get oversized
and enjoy mediocre straighter shooting without being able to
get good control of the ball.

Just wondering? Not even sure if I'll get anything.

Thanks.

P.S. What do you shoot with?
