Didn't say is was, although my sense of history still says that it's the default. My point was that abortion does not NECESSARILY trash the sanctity of life, as was asserted. If one is concerned about the sanctity of life, one could focus on the humanity and dignity of living, breathing humans rather than monitoring first or last breaths. If one so chose...

Neo stated earlier that this was a conflict between autonomy and the sanctity of life. I'm suggesting that another way of looking at it is as a conflict between two different interpretations of the sanctity of life.
