It unloads dated technology that will have to be scrapped anyhow. Why not do it this way where customers pay you shipping to receive it rather than Gateway paying to haul it to the garbage

OR, That is not a great deal. I recently bought a fully loaded Sony box with a 2ghz processor, 512k memory and 80g hd with all of the goodies including firewire port and memory stick slot for 900 new. Add a 500 dollar 17 inch flat screen monitor and you have 1400. Gateway is dead.
