re: KTF thumbing its nose?

==========

KT can't thumb its nose at MIC. Doesn't work that way.

KT had delayed its BREW contract renewal at MIC's direction - and it was supposed to stay delayed until next year.

It's interesting that it was resolved in 02. In my view, it was Q and MIC that struck some sort of accord.

I read somewhere that Korea's mobile OS may be compliant with BREW and Java... but in light of BREW's comprehensive capabilities, what's left for the Korean OS to do?

Again, Unicom embracing BREW was initially perceived by MIC as killing their home grown prospects... I'm not sure what they are presently hoping to salvage from the initiative.
