had the Arab side won the initial war in Israel in 1948, I do not believe that a Palestinian state would have been created, rather i believe that Egypt, Jordan, etc etc would have carved up the territory for themselves and the so-called Palestinians would have been forced to be part of these other countries...given that they tend to be bad house-guests, I presume that they would have had difficulties with these other countries and as such would only dream of an arrangement such as the peace offering they WERE OFFERED but foolishly REJECTED for no sane reason...

OT: The Jews were in actuality the "first Palestinians" In 47 the land was nothing but desert and the few Arabs squatted in tents, content to smoke hasish and trade. They did nothing to develop the land. Immediately after the United States recognized Israel as a state, the Arabs were under no pressure to leave and were offered citizenship. Most did leave however and relinquished what piece of desert that their tent happened to be on at the time. The Jews were attacked by all of the Arab states. A David and Goliath situation if there ever was one. In spite of overwhelming odds, the Jews have overcome and defeated the Arabs and have turned the land into a green oasis with fruits, vegetables and many hi-tech software and industrial companies. Now ancestors of the few Arabs who chose to leave want something that THEY NEVER POSSESSED! Now thats the story in the real history books. Very few Palestinians are peacful. The children are taught almost before they learn to walk, to be Jew murderers by bombs attached to their little bodies while they are forced to wear masks and chant rhymes about blowing up Israelites and going to Heaven as martyrs. If you want justice, find a way to spare these small children who deserve peace and one day after all the terrorists have died off you will begin to see peace and equality for both Arabs and Jews! When America finishes with Saddam and North Korea, they will in my opinion be over in Israel smoking the terrorists out. That is the secret truth that government insiders know. Santi
