Re: Al Gore has some free time. He should be the chairman of the 911 committee. Sure, but keep in mind that Al Gore's probably going through some kind of a burnout stage right now... He might not be emotionally fit yet. Then again, people will suspect him of advancing a partisan agenda and nurturing revengeful feelings towards the Bush administration. In short, Gore's an unreconstructed runner-up.... So, I'll stick to my hunch: Pat Buchanan is the right man to chair the 911 commission. He's neither Dem nor GOP. He's a former CNN journalist (investigative skills). He's a maverick --911 calls for someone able to think out of the box... And his patriotism is unquestionable. Gus
