I have no "give" except when it is a question of the first trimester. I think that people who support late term abortions, absent a serious health crisis for the mother, are incapable of serious moral reasoning. I have no give in this area either but I don't think that anyone who disagrees with me on this or in general is incapable of serious moral reasoning. Tim

because those are not topics germane to its purpose. The silence means exactly nothing I beg to differ. The purpose of the constitution of any organization is to identify membership, often various categories of membership, and to describe the purpose and general operating approach of the organization. Our Constitution spoke, as it should, to membership. It did not have a category of membership for the preborn. Since the very purpose of a constitution is to identify coverage/applicability/membership, it's failure to do is is, indeed, salient. That it didn't discuss burglary or right turn on red is not salient because those factors are not the very essence of a constitution.
