Name one piece of prospective legislation that the desperate and bleeding Dems weren't going to fight the Republicans to the death on. Name one black "leader" who had plans to endorse Trent Lott in Mississippi in 2006, who now will not. Name me a SINGLE reason that the Republicans could expect the Carville Plantation of black voters to stop fabricating for Bush's opponents-much less vote for them himself. The problem you have with holding an entire race of people in your political barbed wire is that your opponents no longer have a down side-no matter what they say. YOU, however, are still at risk of becoming the "blacks-only" party, and thus never winning another election again...
