I am referring to WMT saying that their sales are tracking at the low end of estimates. We already knew that though. How about the JCP PR this morning 'running above target' As far is if anyone is buying, I couldn't tell you as I didn't venture in there. But will be this week, grrr. CNBC did a piece this morning though where they interviewed a few people, granted it is hand groomed for their viewers One guy(looked like middle class- I know, looks can be deceiving) with his wife and two kids said he was spending a few thousand this year on christmas, more than last year. Another gal said she bot some stuff, not on sale, she wasn't looking for sales she said.

probably less people will be flying and traveling this year and staying home more ...and how can american "sale-junkies" resist such bargain sales that all these stores are offering on many things... they sure leaped at the autos last march and probably will leap at these prices now....
