Actually, what he said is no doubt true i.e. many families were lifted out of poverty, the question is, was there a decrease in OVERALL poverty. Also, note that what is considered poverty in this country would be considered luxury in many parts of the world, especially in some parts of Africa. This is a very strong argument against reparations to African Americans, IMO. Does that mean I am racist?
