OT - Thanks for pointin' out the "6 month rule" - I'll keep that in mind. As for the my time frame, here's the deal: I've mentioned this in the past, but just to be clear, the bulk of our investments are truly long term (5 years to forever), highly conservative (no risk to low risk), and very diversified (bonds, funds, real estate, and more). I choose not to discuss the details of that side of our financial position or specifically how that is all managed other than to say that we have our current and future needs well taken care of. The tradin' accounts and investment plays I discuss here at SI are not included in the above. This is money set aside for the primary purpose of havin' fun and makin' money! and the secondary purpose of providin' some balance to our "watchin' da paint dry" core portfolio (risk, return and time frame).
