If that is so... then it should be an easy fix to adjust the data for inflation's effects... but I still fail to see how 'inflation' could artificially widen a gap between - say - the top 10% of capital owners, and the bottom 10% of capital owners... unless 'bracket creep' is what you are talking about?

And, bracket creep would affect reported annual INCOME levels. It would not directly affect OWNERSHIP OF CAPITAL, which is the only measurement of 'wealth' that I think is relevant.

And, when looking only at the OWNERSHIP OF CAPITAL (percentages of the total of outstanding capital), wealth in America is now more concentrated into a few hands... then it was during the last great Age of wealth concentration: The Age of the Robber Barons.
