True-but he's ALWAYS been stupid, and he's been Republican leader for 7 years (making the Republicans look stupid by association). So why now? Highlights of the Lott era of abject stupidity: Propped up the career of Jim Jeffords, who, as that career waned, turned into a Marxist pumpkin. Got rolled, year after year, by Clinton and his weasels on "budget reconciliation". Got his shorts ripped off by a bunch of Democrat criminals who abandoned their oaths of office and fixed an impeachment trial. Got his lunch stolen by Arlen (Puff, the Magic Bullet) Spector, who showed his true congenital cowardice when push came to shove on impeachment. Dreamed up "power-sharing" in the middle of a Senate war, after the 2000 election. The list goes on and on. But the question remains, why now?...

But Krauthammer and Bennett specifically said Lott should go because the remarks themselves were intolerable. Why not attack Krauthammer and Bennett as lynching pinheads like you do Democrats who have said the same thing? Show a little intellectual integrity. It'll make you feel good. Steve
