Curling is a form of restrained self expression only enlightened minds can truly appreciate, generally with a burning Players Filter in one hand and an ounce of Canadian Club gently melting a cube of ice in a plastic tumbler in the other.

Likewise, Men With Brooms.

I find it hard to believe that an American could truly appreciate the cultural significance of the scene with the herd of beavers crossing the road. Canadians on the other hand instantly identified themselves with that short scene. Could it truly be the movie that defines a nation? Or could it just be for fun? Leslie Nelson is both a Canadian and had a lead role in the movie. Tough call isn't it?

Adios,

Kowboy

P.S. He would make a great Prime Minister wouldn't he? Leslie Nelson that is. I understand the job will soon be available. Maybe he should consider it. After all if Ronald Reagan could be the President of the United States of America why couldn't Leslie Nelson be the Prime Minister of Canada? Actually when one thinks of it in those terms, isn't there a moral imperative for Leslie Nelson to become Prime Minister of Canada?
