In this sense the Palestinians remind me a great deal of the Muslim minority population in the southern Philippines, which has been at war with practically everybody they've come into contact with for several hundred years. A less pleasant group it would be hard to imagine, though when you look at how they got that way it becomes easier to understand. They've been screwed by their enemies, their friends, and most of all by their leaders... a nastier group of leaders and a more pliant group of followers would be hard to imagine. As usual in these cases, no solution is evident....
