In ‘99-2000 I actually did not as bad as I may have. Fortuitously, in the Spring of ’99 I became a subscriber of George Gilder. I was enchanted by the man’s thinking, and… made a lot of money. I realized early on that the decline in March was for real, and started selling into every bounce… but still managed to lose all my ’99 profits, and some more. Such is life.

“Fading”… man, I don’t even have anyone good to fade… lol. I’m reading a fair amount, I renewed my EWI subscription, but what really works – when it does work – is my own scribbling and playing with charts. Mat Onischka I think is excellent. The thing which I find most impressive is not so much his counts – everyone has counts – but his ability to determine systematically WHEN any given count goes dead, and when alternatives kick in. In other words, good support / resistance levels.

Another thing which works is patience… I wish I had more of that. The sweetest deal is when a setup comes to you.
