Tyco to release investigation results by Dec. 30
Friday December 20, 5:34 pm ET

PEMBROKE, Bermuda, Dec 20 (Reuters) - Tyco International Ltd. (NYSE:TYC - News), whose stock has been battered this year over accounting worries, on Friday said results from an accounting investigation will be made public by Dec. 30.

Tyco previously said the results would be due by late fall, but never offered a specific date. The conglomerate said the results will be filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Earlier this year, Tyco hired lawyer David Boies, who prosecuted the Justice Department's antitrust case against Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqNM:MSFT - News) during the Clinton administration, to conduct an internal investigation.

Under Boies, an army of forensic accountants have been examining major deals engineered by indicted former Chairman Dennis Kozlowski.
