It is also stupid because the economy works best and tax revenues go up when the public (that's us folks!) is least taxed and freeest to pursue their private (and family) interests.

I don't think it's a proper goal of the leadership to forment a taxpayer revolt. I suppose you really think that you would have been sucessful if you have begun in a differnt environment, like sub-sahara africa or something. Yeah, that's it, it was all just your hard work and had nothing to do with political and economic climate that was build primarily on a shared vision and hot through independant hot shotting.
