Velly innarestin. Don't use Bryce, Biff, or Tad. Have to look into that sort of stuff. USGS always has been big in DLG and related homegrown digie tools for their stuff. Much of their digitization is an in house ad hoc initiative out of CO and is not really top down driven by gov't budgetization. This is because the perceptual difficulty electo-suitation has with disciplines that have history and not much granola cachet. I think the solution for this is for geologists to wear their hair longer, drive earth tone SUV's, attend new wave parties with golf pros, and talk more earnestly about Gaia gestalt planetary preservation and parking spaces at the people's environmental research institute and feng shui palace. Avoid messy concepts like "mining" and refer instead to late stage element remobilization to social-environmental artifact-contructs with remedial local-site reorganization and enhancement, all of which emphasizes stakeholder benefits while minimizing cultural impactment, and at the same time maintains species sensitivity and promotes broad spectrum biotic revitilization.
